Alessio Fienaroli podiums in Pomposa karting as Monza hosts youth cycling champs
Thirteen‑year‑old Alessio Fienaroli of Team 3DK Umbria Motorsport finished third in the OKNJ 125 cc class at the fifth round of the Coppa Italia Karting ACI Sport in Pomposa. He recorded the fastest lap in the final with a time of 55.084 seconds despite a technical issue that forced him to start eighth. Fienaroli said, “Mi sono divertito ma è stata molto dura… partendo ottavo in finale e arrivare a podio ti obbliga a spingere al massimo”.
Later in the week the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza hosted a provincial meeting of cycling gimkana and sprint races as part of the Trofeo BCC Carate e Treviglio. The event attracted many young riders and emphasized safety on the Formula 1 circuit. BCC sponsor Ruggero Redaelli highlighted the importance of youth sport, stating, “Sostenere lo sport giovanile significa investire nel futuro delle nostre comunità.” Winners included clubs Velo Club Sovicoche, Polisportiva Molinello, Salus Seregno De Rosa and others across multiple age categories for both boys and girls.
