Italian karting & cycling season 2026

Overview

The Italian karting calendar remained active through July 2026, with the FIA Karting European Championship, the ACI Karting Championship and the Coppa Italia Karting ACI Sport moving between Sarno, Castiglione dei Pepoli and Pomposa. The 29th "6 Giorni delle Rose" track‑cycling series opened on 20 July at the Attilio Pavesi Velodrome in Fiorenzuola, hosting 22 UCI International Grand Prix events. Over 180 athletes from 28 nations competed in endurance and sprint disciplines. Olympic Madison champion Chiara Consonni and teammate Vittoria Guazzini led the elite fields, while Simone Consonni headed the men’s start list. Ilya Savekin (men) and Chiara Consonni (women) won the elite omnium, and Mattia Predomo and Steffie Van der Peet retained their speed‑race titles. In the U‑23 categories, Palina Konrad, Daniil Zarakovskiy, Matteo Fiorin & Christian Fantini and Linda Sanarini secured victories.

On 23‑24 July the elite women’s Madison was won by the Italian pair Vittoria Guazzini and Martina Fidanza, ahead of Polish and Japanese teams. The following evening, Belarusian Palina Konrad won the women’s Scratch, Russia’s Vlas Shichkin the men’s Points, and Japan’s Yumi Kajihara the women’s Elimination.

The series concluded on 25 July with U.S. rider Anna Hicks taking the women’s elite points race, while the Italian duo Matteo Fiorin and Niccolò Galli captured the men’s elite Madison.

Later in July, the 2026 Italian National Track Cycling Championships in San Francesco al Campo saw Fiorin and Galli repeat their Madison success, earning the elite men’s title. Vittoria Bussi won the women’s elite individual pursuit, Renato Favero the men’s, and Matteo Bianchi the kilometre time trial, underscoring a strong Italian performance across the national programme.
