Alfana Investment Management has acquired the Forum Algarve shopping center in Faro, Portugal, for approximately 130 million euros. This transaction marks the Spanish asset manager's first international acquisition.
The shopping center, built in 2001, spans 27,400 square meters and features 115 stores with over 2,200 parking spaces. According to 2025 financial statements, the facility attracted more than 7.8 million visitors, largely driven by tourism, with retailer sales exceeding 120 million euros. The property maintains a near 100% occupancy rate, hosting brands such as Inditex, Mango, Fnac, McDonald’s, and Starbucks. The new owners intend to integrate the center into Rivoli Retail.
Law firm Garrigues advised Alfana during the deal. The transaction was financed through investments from Banco Santander wealth management clients.
