Overview
Alfana Investment Management has acquired the Forum Algarve shopping center in Faro, Portugal, for approximately 130 million euros. This transaction represents the Spanish asset manager’s first international acquisition.
The 27,400-square-meter complex, constructed in 2001, features 115 commercial establishments and maintains a near 100% occupancy rate. In 2025, the center reported operator sales exceeding 120 million euros and attracted more than 7.8 million visitors, supported by local demographics and tourism. Major tenants include brands such as Inditex, Mango, Fnac, McDonald’s, and Starbucks.
Alfana intends to integrate the property into its Rivoli Retail portfolio. The deal was advised by the law firm Garrigues and financed through investments from Banco Santander wealth management clients.
