Algeria advances anti-corruption and infrastructure cooperation

Algeria is advancing its international diplomatic and technical cooperation through two distinct initiatives. In Vienna, an Algerian delegation, including representatives from the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Fight against Corruption (HATPLC), is participating in the 17th session of the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) review group. The delegation aims to highlight Algeria’s progress in combating corruption, money laundering, and terrorism financing, following the country’s removal from the FATF grey list.

Simultaneously, Algeria is strengthening bilateral ties with Niger regarding public works and infrastructure. Following high-level meetings in Algiers, several agreements were signed to facilitate the transfer of technical expertise. These include a cooperation convention between Algeria’s National Technical Control Body for Public Works (CTTP) and Niger’s Public Works Quality Center (CPTP), as well as a strategic training agreement between the Central Laboratory of Public Works (LCTP) and Niger’s National Laboratory of Public Works and Building (LNTPB).
