Algeria and Bangladesh discuss mining investment opportunities

Algerian Minister of Mines and Industries, Mourad Hanifi, met with Bangladesh's Minister of Energy, Mineral Resources and Electricity, Iqbal Hassan Mahmood, in Algiers to explore partnership opportunities in the mining sector. The discussions focused on promising cooperation prospects, particularly regarding iron ore.

Separately, Algeria's Minister of Hydraulics, Lounès Bouzegza, led a meeting to monitor the progress of downstream connection projects for new seawater desalination plants. These projects aim to supply the provinces of Chlef, Mostaganem, and Tlemcen with desalinated water, following directives from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to prioritize water supply in these regions.
