Algeria expands e-commerce infrastructure through new partnerships

Algeria is experiencing a significant shift in its e-commerce landscape, characterized by a rapid increase in digital transactions. According to data from GIE Monétique, internet transactions rose by more than 38 percent in a single year, totaling over 27 million operations.

To support this growth, Algérie Poste and Air Algérie Cargo have signed a framework agreement to enhance logistics and digital services. The partnership aims to improve electronic payments, financial products, and the aerial transport of mail and parcels. This collaboration is intended to address the logistical challenges posed by Algeria's vast geography, facilitating more efficient delivery of goods across the country.

In the banking sector, institutions like Al Salam Bank are introducing digital solutions, such as the MySalam offering, to meet consumer demand for faster and more secure online transactions and mobile banking services.
