Algeria e-commerce and logistics infrastructure development

Overview

Algeria is undergoing a digital transition marked by a significant increase in internet transactions, which rose by more than 38 percent in a single year to exceed 27 million operations.

To support this growth, Algérie Poste and Air Algérie Cargo have entered into a strategic framework agreement. This partnership focuses on five key areas: electronic payment solutions, financial products and services, proximity services, the air transport of mail and parcels, and logistical and commercial services. The collaboration aims to address logistical challenges posed by the country’s geography and improve the handling of goods for both national and international commercial exchange.

In the financial sector, banks such as Al Salam Bank are also contributing to this shift by introducing digital solutions like the MySalam offering to meet consumer demand for secure mobile banking and faster online transactions.
