Algeria implements administrative reorganization with new regional officials

Algerian Interior Minister Saïd Sayoud has overseen several administrative appointments as part of a partial movement within the corps of walis, delegated walis, and secretaries-general, following a decision by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

In El-Aricha, Abdelkrim Ben Baba Ali has been installed as the new wali, marking the territory's transition into a full-fledged wilaya. Minister Sayoud described this reorganization as a ‘qualitative leap in development and public affairs management,’ aimed at bringing administrative services closer to citizens and promoting local investment.

Additionally, Lakhdar Seddas has been installed as the new wali of Nâama. Highlighting the region's strategic importance due to its geographic location and natural resources, the Minister emphasized the need to continue development in sectors such as road networks, rural connectivity, and agricultural and pastoral support.
