Algeria's July 2 Legislative Election Campaign Intensifies with Party Rallies

The campaign for Algeria’s parliamentary elections on 2 July entered its fifth day, with party leaders and activists touring multiple wilayas to hold meetings and rally support. Prominent figures such as PT secretary‑general Louisa Hanoune, RND secretary‑general Monder Bouden, FMN chief Abdellah Haddad, and MSP president Abdelali Hassani Cherif spoke about strengthening the state, boosting economic recovery, and encouraging youth and women’s participation. Meetings were held in cities including Mostaganet, Chlef, Constantine, Tlemcen, Alger, and Blida, emphasizing the need for a strong parliament, national cohesion and local development.

Across the country, parties stressed realistic programmes addressing agriculture, industry, tourism, education and health, urging citizens to vote in large numbers to ensure a “strong parliament for a strong state.” The campaign narrative focused on social cohesion, economic revitalisation and the role of elected representatives in linking citizens to state institutions ahead of the July 2 poll.
