Alghero political crisis over allegations of verbal aggression

A political conflict has erupted in Alghero following allegations of verbal aggression and political mobbing made by Councilor Raffaella Sanna against Councilor Enrico Daga. Sanna has reportedly sent a formal letter to Mayor Francesco Cacciotto detailing these grievances.

Enrico Daga has dismissed the accusations as ‘banal internal political dynamics’ and normal political dialectic. However, opposition leaders from various parties, including Fratelli d'Italia, Lega, and Forza Italia, have criticized this minimization, calling for the Mayor to take decisive action regarding Daga’s position in the administration.

Gabriella Esposito, head of the Democratic Party (PD) in Alghero, has called for full transparency, requesting that both the controversial chat logs and Sanna’s formal letter be made public to allow for an objective assessment of the facts.
