Alghero Budget Variation Sparks Forza Italia Criticism Over Visibility Contest

Forza Italia municipal councillors in Alghero (Marco Tedde, Antonello Peru, Lina Bardino and Nina Ansini) denounced a dispute within the centre‑left majority over the authorship of a budget variation exceeding €10 million. They described the contest as a "race for visibility" among councillors and parties, arguing that the financial amendment is a collective decision of the administration, not attributable to individuals.

The opposition emphasized that most funded projects are already planned, ordinary maintenance or long‑standing needs, and that the amendment fails to tackle pressing urban issues such as widespread decay, abandoned peripheries, traffic system crises, parking shortages, and a lack of strategic development vision for the city.

Forza Italia warned that the focus on internal acclaim could divert attention from the real problems facing Alghero's residents.
