Alghero cemetery workers face alleged wage delays

Michele Pais, a local councilor from the Lega party, has called on the Alghero municipal administration to protect cemetery workers ahead of the upcoming commemoration of the deceased. The cemetery services are currently managed by the Barbara B. cooperative.

Pais reported that workers are experiencing delays in receiving their wages, a situation he described as unacceptable given the modest nature of their salaries and the necessity of timely payments for essential living expenses. He also noted previous concerns regarding maintenance, safety, and the fulfillment of contract services within the cemetery management.
