Alghero City Council faces boycott over Bruno Kessler Foundation program

The Alghero City Council is set to discuss the progress of a strategic alliance between the Municipality of Alghero and the Bruno Kessler Foundation (FBK). The program, presented at Villa Maria Pia, is structured around four pillars: territorial attractiveness, scientific and technological research, People Strategy, and training.

Key developments in the partnership include a training program with the University of Sassari, a territorial storytelling and communication plan, an operational agreement to accelerate projects, and a local coworking project. Participants include Mayor Raimondo Cacciotto and various academic and strategic leaders from FBK and the University of Sassari.

However, center-right group leaders have announced a boycott of the council session regarding the People Strategy. They claim they have not received the necessary documentation required to engage in a meaningful discussion and argue that proceeding without prior review undermines the council's role. They have requested a postponement until all documents are provided.
