Ali al-Amoudi injured in Israeli airstrike in Gaza
A senior Hamas leader has confirmed that Ali al-Amoudi, the acting head of the movement’s political office in the Gaza Strip, was injured during an Israeli airstrike on October 3. The strike targeted a residential apartment in the Al-Mina area, west of Gaza City, and resulted in the deaths of five Palestinians.
According to the official, al-Amoudi sustained moderate injuries, including fractures to his limbs, but survived because he was located in a side area of the apartment away from the direct impact. He is reportedly in relatively good health and is receiving medical treatment in a secure location.
This disclosure provides the first confirmation from a Hamas official that al-Amoudi was inside the building at the time of the attack. Previous reports had suggested he might have evacuated the premises following intelligence warnings regarding Israeli drone activity in the area, but those accounts remained unverified.
