Ali Koç wins double gold for Turkey at Italy Science Olympiad

Ten‑year‑old Turkish student Ali Koç secured first place in both the mathematics and science categories at the International Science Olympiad held in Italy, earning two gold medals for Turkey. After the competition he said, “Very happy! Long live Turkey!”

The victory follows an earlier triumph at the American Mathematics Olympiad, where Koç scored 97 points and placed in the top 8 % worldwide. He was later honored by Kadıköy mayor Mesut Kösedağı for his achievements.
