Ali Öztunç calls for safety measures on Elbistan-Göksun road

CHP Kahramanmaraş Deputy Ali Öztunç has issued an urgent call for improved safety measures on the Elbistan-Göksun road following a series of fatal accidents. The most recent incident in Yazı village resulted in the death of a one-year-old child.

Öztunç noted that these fatalities follow other recent accidents in the same area, including one that injured MHP Kahramanmaraş Deputy Zuhal Karakoç. He criticized the current safety protocols, stating that while smart radar systems for speed enforcement have been installed, they are insufficient to prevent accidents at dangerous intersections.

The deputy demanded that authorities immediately identify hazardous points, install signaling systems, and implement necessary traffic markings. He emphasized that road construction remains incomplete and urged officials not to wait for further loss of life before taking action.
