Alianza Francesa de Lima presents restored French cinema classics

The Alianza Francesa de Lima is hosting a film cycle titled ‘Después del Festival: Clásicos restaurados del cine francés’ (After the Festival: Restored French Cinema Classics) at the Cine Lumière. Running from August 20 to August 28, the event showcases restored versions of iconic works from acclaimed filmmakers.

The selection includes films by directors such as Claude Chabrol, Agnès Varda, Patrice Chéreau, Georges Franju, and Henri Verneuil. Featured works include Georges Franju’s ‘Ojos sin rostro’, Claude Chabrol’s ‘La ceremonia’ and ‘La mujer infiel’, Claude Sautet’s ‘Las cosas de la vida’, and Patrice Chéreau’s ‘La reina Margot’. The program aims to allow audiences to experience these cinematic treasures in restored formats as they were originally intended for the big screen, featuring legendary actors like Jean-Paul Belmondo, Isabelle Huppert, and Romy Schneider.
