Alicante approves first protected housing project in San Blas

The Alicante City Council is moving forward with its first protected housing project following the Les Naus scandal. The municipal housing board has pre-awarded a land parcel in the San Blas neighborhood to Abala Infraestructuras S. L.

The project involves the construction of 32 protected homes on Ceuta Street, including 24 general regime units for sale and eight special regime units for young people. The development is expected to take 36 months to complete and will include 26 parking spaces and 26 storage rooms.

As part of the agreement, the developer will cede six one-bedroom apartments to the municipal housing board in exchange for the land. These units, valued at approximately 562,282 euros, will be integrated into the city's public housing stock.
