Alicante emergency services conduct dual mountain rescues

Emergency services in Alicante conducted two consecutive mountain rescues on Friday. The first operation involved a 30-year-old cyclist who suffered multiple traumas following a fall in the Banyeres area. The Special Rescue Group and a helicopter evacuated the injured man to the Hospital de Alcoy.

Shortly after, rescuers were called to Montgó in Dénia to locate two hikers, aged 16 and 17, who had become lost after approximately three hours of trekking. The minors were found without food or water but did not require medical assistance. The rescue team prioritized the cyclist due to the severity of his injuries before proceeding to the second location.
