Emergency services in Alicante, Spain, conducted two separate mountain rescues. The first involved a 30-year-old cyclist who required helicopter evacuation to Hospital de Alcoy following multiple traumas from a fall in the Banyeres area. In Ecuador, rescue teams saved 17 people, including 12 children, from the Pichincha volcano, and a tourist was rescued from Chimborazo at 5,600 meters.

In Spain, additional operations were reported in the Pyrenees involving the evacuation of canyoners and a 78-year-old hiker. Further incidents in the Vero River area included six canyoners who lost their way and a 78-year-old hiker who collapsed due to exhaustion. Other international accidents include a drowning of a 20-year-old in Alejandría, Colombia, and the death of a young man swept away by the Chihuahua River in Parral, Mexico, following heavy rains.
