Alien Breed 35th Anniversary Collection announced for PC and consoles

The Alien Breed 35th Anniversary Collection is set to release on September 24, 2026, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. This collection celebrates the legacy of the iconic franchise originally associated with the Commodore Amiga by including all six original titles from the series' first era.

The collection features modern technical enhancements, including twin-stick controls for both 2D and 3D titles, improved frame rates, and tactical save states. Players can choose between classic 4:3 and modern 16:9 aspect ratios, with various CRT effects and scanline filters available to preserve the retro aesthetic. New gameplay features include an online Rush Mode via peer-to-peer connection, a single-player Horde Mode, and local couch co-op.

A playable demo featuring the first levels of ‘Alien Breed: Special Edition’ and ‘Alien Breed 3D’ is available starting September 10 on Steam and GOG. The full release will also include an interactive archive containing concept art, developer interviews, and retrospective videos regarding the series' history.
