Overview

Commodore, Antstream, and Team17 announced the ‘Alien Breed 35th Anniversary Collection’, a compilation of six original titles from the Amiga sci-fi horror franchise. The collection includes Alien Breed, Alien Breed: Special Edition 92, Alien Breed 2: The Horror Continues, Alien Breed: Tower Assault, Alien Breed 3D, and The Killing Grounds.

Technical updates for the release include dual-stick support, improved frame rates, save states, and options for 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios with CRT and scanline filters. New features include an online ‘Rush Mode’, a ‘Horde Mode’ survival challenge, and ‘The Vault’, an interactive archive of concept art and developer interviews.

The collection is scheduled for release on September 24, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a Nintendo Switch version expected later in the year. A playable demo featuring levels from ‘Alien Breed: Special Edition’ and ‘Alien Breed 3D’ became available on September 10 via Steam and GOG.
