Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 launches August 25, 2026 with new Specialist class

Cold Iron Studios announced that the sequel to its 2021 co‑op shooter will be released on August 25, 2026. The game, titled Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, will be available for PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and will support cross‑play and built‑in voice chat.

Key additions include expanding the squad size from three to four players, a new Specialist class that lets players customise abilities from other classes, and an expanded Horde mode with new maps. A 40th Anniversary Premium Edition will bundle future DLC and themed skins. The title is priced at $50 USD.

Cold Iron Studios, a development studio founded in 2015 and based in San Jose, California, is the developer behind the sequel.
