Alin Tișe attacks PNL leadership over meritocracy and image‑driven politics

PNL regional leader Alin Tișe said the party’s image‑builder Ilie Bolojan has become a “Messiah” whose popularity is based on carefully crafted polling numbers rather than concrete results. Tișe warned that a high electoral score means little if the country is poorly governed, and he criticised the party’s focus on poll percentages over delivering public services.

He also denounced what he called “useless patronage”, arguing that appointments such as secretaries of state are often given to loyalists lacking the necessary expertise. Tișe called for merit‑based promotions, a new generation of leaders and genuine performance in local administrations, warning that the party risks alienating voters if it continues to favour long‑standing insiders over competent candidates.
