Alisa Goods found dead near Las Vegas airport

Alisa Goods, a 63-year-old grandmother from Brooklyn, has been found dead in Las Vegas following a nearly two-week disappearance. Her body was discovered in a drainage ditch near Terminal 1 at Harry Reid International Airport.

Investigators reviewed surveillance footage from August 8, the day she went missing, which reportedly showed Goods falling down an embankment, getting back up, and then collapsing. Authorities have not yet released a formal cause or manner of death.

During the search, Goods' family reported receiving suspicious text messages from her phone requesting money and Bitcoin. Her niece, Alana Calloway, noted the requests were suspicious because Goods does not drive. Police suggested these messages may have been the result of spoofing by scammers.
