During the search, Goods’ phone sent suspicious text messages to her relatives requesting Bitcoin and ‘gas money.’ Her family noted the requests for gas money were highly suspicious because Goods does not drive and does not have a vehicle in Las Vegas. Police have suggested these messages may have been the result of spoofing by scammers.

Prior to the discovery of her body, family members had expressed frustration with law enforcement, claiming a detective informed them that Goods was ‘not a priority.’
