All Blacks and Springboks prepare for Test series opener
The All Blacks have made a late squad change ahead of their opening Test against the Springboks at Ellis Park. Flanker Anton Segner has been withdrawn from the matchday 23 due to acute inflammatory arthritis in his ankle. He will be replaced by Simon Parker, a 26-year-old loose forward from the Chiefs.
In South African selection news, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu has been named at flyhalf for the first Test. Former coach Nick Mallett praised the decision, noting Feinberg-Mngomezulu’s versatility in kicking and his defensive physicality. He will be supported by Manie Libbok on the bench, while Handré Pollard remains out of the starting lineup.
