Allegiant Air introduces new ‘Allegiant First’ premium cabin

Allegiant Air has announced the launch of its new premium cabin, branded as ‘Allegiant First’. The budget-focused airline has begun selling seats for this service, with the first flights featuring new recliner seats scheduled to depart in March 2027.

Passengers booking Allegiant First will receive amenities beyond the upgraded seating, including a free standard-size carry-on bag, a free checked bag, fully refundable tickets, and no change fees. Pricing for the premium service is significantly higher than standard economy; for example, a one-way flight from Punta Gorda, Florida, to MidAmerica St. Louis Airport may cost approximately $428, compared to a $167 economy fare.

Currently, the availability of these seats is limited to specific routes, primarily those connecting to or departing from Punta Gorda. The airline plans to equip its future Boeing 737 MAX aircraft with these premium seats, though current Airbus fleet operations are unlikely to offer the option.
