Allegiant Air service and network expansion

Allegiant Air has announced several service and network expansions. In late July 2026, the airline revealed plans to offer complimentary non-alcoholic beverages to all passengers starting 1 August 2026. Additionally, the carrier intends to launch a premium cabin, ‘Allegiant First’, featuring specially configured seats with increased legroom and priority services, with a scheduled debut in spring 2027.

Following these service updates, the airline announced a network expansion in August 2026. This includes the addition of nine new nonstop routes, primarily targeting leisure travel to Florida. The expansion features seven hyper-seasonal routes operating between February and May 2027, including several services originating from New England airports such as Boston, Rhode Island, and Portsmouth. The airline also confirmed a new year-round route between Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky and Orlando, as well as a seasonal route from Grand Forks, North Dakota.

In late August 2026, the airline confirmed it has begun selling seats for the ‘Allegiant First’ service, with the first flights featuring new recliner seats scheduled to depart in March 2027. Passengers booking this premium cabin will receive amenities including a free standard-size carry-on bag, a free checked bag, fully refundable tickets, and no change fees.

Currently, availability is limited to specific routes, primarily those connecting to or departing from Punta Gorda. While the airline plans to equip future Boeing 737 MAX aircraft with these seats, current Airbus fleet operations are unlikely to offer the option. Pricing for the service is significantly higher than economy; for instance, a one-way flight from Punta Gorda to St. Louis may cost approximately $428, compared to a $167 economy fare.
