Allegiant Rolls Out Free Drinks and New First-Class Seats
Allegiant Air will begin offering complimentary non‑alcoholic beverages to all passengers on its flights starting 1 August 2026. Passengers holding an Allways Rewards Visa card can also select a premium beverage, including coffee, protein shakes, sports drinks or an alcoholic mixed drink, subject to age and a $16 value limit.
The airline is also launching a premium cabin called Allegiant First. Eight specially configured seats will be installed on select aircraft in a two‑by‑two layout at the front of the cabin, with a 37‑inch pitch, recline, adjustable head‑ and calf‑rests, and additional legroom. The product is slated to debut in spring 2027, with seats going on sale around mid‑August 2026. Allegiant First passengers will receive priority check‑in and boarding, one personal item, a carry‑on bag and a checked bag up to 70 lb.
Chief Commercial Officer Drew Wells said the move gives customers “more ways to travel with us” and responds to growing demand for premium travel, which rose 4.5 % in the past year. The initiative follows Allegiant’s merger with Sun Country Airlines, approved by U.S. regulators, and aligns the carrier with rivals Frontier and JetBlue that are also introducing first‑class products.
