Alligator Energy confirms uranium mineralisation at Big Lake Project

Alligator Energy has confirmed further uranium mineralisation at its Big Lake Uranium Project located in South Australia’s Lake Eyre Basin. Recent drilling results from the company’s 2026 exploration program support its roll-front uranium exploration model.

The company completed 33 aircore holes totaling 4,112 metres. At Site 10, drilling intersected uranium mineralisation associated with the redox boundary between oxidised and reduced sands. Notable intersections included 1.9 metres at 320 ppm eU3O8 and 1.0 metre at 180 ppm eU3O8.

Regional drilling conducted approximately 6 kilometres south of Site 10 also intersected similar sands at comparable depths. Seismic data suggests the prospective palaeochannel remains open to the southeast and may extend an additional 12 kilometres. CEO and Managing Director Andrea Marsland-Smith stated the results provide a clearer picture of the system’s potential scale and geological setting.
