Almadén murder investigation leads to arrests in drug dispute
Three suspects have been placed in provisional detention following the murder of a young man in Almadén, Spain. The investigation, conducted by the Guardia Civil under ‘Operation Duther’, concluded after six months of technological and forensic analysis.
The victim's body was discovered on March 21 in the Valle de Alcudia, where it had been completely burned and showed signs of blunt force trauma to the head. Authorities believe the cremation was a planned attempt to destroy biological evidence and hinder identification.
Investigators have linked the killing to drug trafficking, specifically a dispute involving the theft of hashish. In total, six people were detained: three are accused of murder, drug trafficking, and belonging to a criminal group, while the other three face charges related to drug trafficking and criminal association.
