Argentina launches intergenerational education program “Ecos de Sabiduría”

The Argentine Ministry of Education, together with the Ministry of Social Development, formally launched the “Ecos de Sabiduría: Derechos que resuenan” project at the Escuela Normal Superior General Manuel Belgrano in Buenos Aires Province. The initiative, aimed at fourth‑year secondary students, seeks to foster intergenerational dialogue, inclusion and awareness of older‑people’s rights through activities such as an Inclusion Map, a Time Capsule, shared cultural recipes and “Digital Voices”. A parallel presentation was held at the Escuela Técnica N.º 2 “Ing. Santiago Barabino” in La Banda.

The launch was attended by Education Minister Mariela Nassif, Social Development Minister Ángel Niccolai, subsecretaries Alejandro Píccoli and Ramiro Banco, director of Adult Adults Lucía Witte, Education Council President María Elena Herrera and the rectors Silvia Rodríguez and María Luisa Fernández. Nassif emphasized that the program “has a deeply human and educational sense, building empathy, solidarity and social commitment in young people.” Niccolai added that it “recognises and defends the rights of older persons and encourages youth to help transform cultural attitudes toward aging.”
