Alpaca partners with Kalshi to offer prediction market event contracts

Alpaca has announced a partnership with prediction market exchange Kalshi to integrate event contracts into Alpaca’s global brokerage infrastructure. Through this collaboration, Alpaca’s partners and users will be able to access Kalshi event contracts covering various categories, including financial markets, economic indicators, weather, sports, and cultural events.

Alpaca Derivatives LLC, the company’s CFTC-registered Futures Commission Merchant (FCM), will integrate directly with Kalshi. Alpaca will manage custody, money movement, statements, and account management, while Kalshi will provide the regulated marketplace, clearing services, and the event contracts themselves.

The deal aims to expand Kalshi’s reach to a global audience. Alpaca currently serves more than 300 financial institutions and reaches approximately 14 million brokerage accounts worldwide. Tony Lee, Alpaca’s Chief Brokerage Officer, stated that the move responds to customer demand for accessing diverse markets through existing infrastructure without the need for separate technology stacks.
