Alpha Diallo joins Denver Nuggets as 29-year-old rookie

Denver Nuggets forward Alpha Diallo enters his NBA rookie season at age 29, following a successful career in Europe. Diallo joins the team after spending five seasons with AS Monaco, where he earned the EuroLeague's best defender award last season.

Despite his official rookie status, teammate Nikola Jokic described Diallo as a game-tested veteran, noting his athleticism and defensive prowess. Diallo, a former Providence standout who went undrafted in 2020, aims to use his aggressive defensive style to impact the game and force turnovers as the Nuggets begin their season.
