Alphadjo Cisse emerges as AC Milan standout

Nineteen-year-old Alphadjo Cisse has emerged as a key player for AC Milan following a strong start to the Serie A season. After scoring against Torino and Juventus, Cisse has become the club’s top scorer in the opening three matches.

His rise follows a period of uncertainty regarding his future at the club; Milan had previously considered a loan move to allow for more playing time. However, his performance in a friendly against Manchester United and subsequent league goals led manager Ruben Amorim to advocate for keeping him in the squad. Cisse’s recent form has also created competition for starting positions, potentially impacting players like Christian Pulisic.

Due to his high goal-to-minutes ratio, Cisse is reportedly being considered by Roberto Mancini for a potential call-up to the Italy national team for the Nations League in October.
