Alpine drivers target recovery through new technical updates
Alpine drivers Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto have identified car development as the primary reason the team was overtaken by Racing Bulls in the weeks leading up to the summer break. While the Enstone-based team struggled with effective updates, the Faenza-based Racing Bulls implemented more frequent and efficient improvements.
Colapinto noted a significant shift in his performance following the Miami Grand Prix. Although he initially struggled with pace when the team transitioned to using two chassis during the early Grand Prix weekends, he has since found his rhythm, securing five points-scoring finishes and outperforming his teammate on four Sundays.
The team is now looking toward the Zandvoort Grand Prix, placing high expectations on a new technical package to regain competitive ground and improve their standing in the championship.
