Alpine ends A110 production and unveils electric A110 Future prototype

Alpine announced that the last petrol‑powered A110 rolled off the Dieppe assembly line, ending a production run of 28,701 units for the current generation and 35,450 units overall since 1969. The final car was an A110 R 70 in Alpine Blue, marking the closure of the model’s second‑generation era.

At the same time, Alpine revealed the A110 Future test mule, a development vehicle that previews the brand’s first fully electric sports car. Built on the new Alpine Performance Platform, the prototype retains the classic A110 silhouette but houses a dual‑motor rear‑axle layout, 800‑volt cell‑to‑pack batteries split between the front and rear axles, and a targeted 40:60 weight distribution. Alpine aims for a curb weight of about 1,400 kg and a range of over 550 km, with the car expected to debut at Goodwood in late 2026 or early 2027.

The transition signals Alpine’s shift from internal‑combustion sports cars to electric performance models, with the new platform designed to accommodate future power‑train variations while preserving the A110’s lightweight, agile character.
