Alpine EV shift: A110 Future, A390 GT, six‑model plan
Entities: Alpine · Renault · Alpine Performance Platform · Philippe Krief · Goodwood Festival of Speed
Overview
Alpine’s internal‑combustion A110 production ended in early July 2026, with the final R 70 rolling off the Dieppe line. The marque simultaneously unveiled the A110 Future prototype at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Built on the new Alpine Performance Platform (APP), the 800‑volt, cell‑to‑pack system splits the 70 kWh battery between a front module (≈25 % of capacity) and a rear module (≈75 %), achieving a 40:60 front‑rear weight balance and a low centre‑of‑gravity layout.
The prototype uses dual rear‑mounted electric motors delivering up to 300 hp (≈220 kW) and 340 Nm, with an optional front motor that could raise total output toward 500–600 hp while keeping curb weight near 1 450 kg. Real‑world range is quoted at 400–560 km, with a 20‑minute full‑power stint sufficient for three fast Nürburgring laps. Production is slated for late 2026 at Dieppe with customer deliveries beginning in 2027; variants will include hard‑top, roadster and an all‑wheel‑drive 2+2 model.
Alongside the A110, Alpine launched the A390 GT crossover, priced around CHF 64 500, producing 295 kW (400 hp), 661 Nm and a WLTP range of 551 km. At Goodwood the brand also outlined a six‑model electric lineup – A290 hot‑hatch, A390 crossover, A110 sportscar and three future models – with a North‑American market entry planned after 2029 and a focus on exclusive, high‑performance EVs.
