Alpine F1 drivers split testing programs at Sepang

Alpine F1 Team utilized divergent testing programs during Friday's practice sessions at the Sepang International Circuit. Pierre Gasly focused on pure speed, finishing tenth in the second practice session (EL2), which suggests the car is capable of competing within the top ten. Gasly noted that while the track remains challenging due to high heat and humidity, the car is performing within a good window despite low grip levels.

In contrast, Franco Colapinto finished 22nd after focusing on long-run simulations to prepare for the race. Colapinto is set to face a 15-place grid penalty, leading the team to prioritize race pace and tire degradation management to facilitate overtaking and strategic flexibility during the Grand Prix.
