Alpine Rescue saves lost hiker near Buco del Piombo

An individual hiker was rescued by the Alpine and Speleological Rescue service after becoming lost near Buco del Piombo in the Triangolo Lariano area. The hiker had departed from Crevenna, a hamlet of Erba, and was traversing Valle Bova when they lost the trail in a rugged section situated between two small streams.

After losing the path, the hiker became trapped in dense brambles and was unable to move safely. The Triangolo Lariano Station mobilized four technicians, divided into two territorial teams, to search the area. Following a search of the local trails, rescuers located the individual and escorted them through the difficult terrain to the San Salvatore hermitage, where the hiker's vehicle was parked. The operation concluded in the evening with the hiker in stable condition.
