Alpine rescue operations in Italy

Overview

An individual hiker was rescued by the Alpine and Speleological Rescue service near Buco del Piombo in the Triangolo Lariano area. The hiker had lost the trail while traversing Valle Bova and became trapped in dense brambles between two streams.

Four technicians from the Triangolo Lariano Station conducted a search of local trails and located the individual. Rescuers escorted the hiker through difficult terrain to the San Salvatore hermitage, where their vehicle was located. The operation concluded in the evening with the hiker in stable condition.
