Alpine reveals technical plans for all-electric A110 sports car

Alpine CEO Philippe Krief has outlined the development strategy for the upcoming all-electric Alpine A110, emphasizing agility and sustained performance over raw power. The new model is expected to feature an 800-volt architecture and a 80 kWh battery, providing an estimated range of 500 kilometers.

To ensure high-performance capabilities, the vehicle will utilize cell-to-pack technology and a specialized two-part battery system. A key focus is thermal management, designed to allow the car to deliver full performance for 20 minutes without power degradation. The standard version is targeted to weigh approximately 1,500 kilograms.

Technical advancements include a closed-loop torque vectoring system that uses real-time data from speed, lateral acceleration, and steering angle to control vehicle behavior. Alpine is targeting a lap time of under seven minutes on the Nürburgring Nordschleife with the standard factory setup. The electric A110 is slated for market entry late next year.
