Alpine targets fifth in constructors' standings with Dutch GP upgrades

Alpine F1 Team is aiming to secure fifth place in the constructors’ championship by introducing new car upgrades at the upcoming Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort. Currently sitting sixth in the standings with 61 points, the British-French squad is trailing Racing Bulls by only five points in the midfield battle.

Managing director Steve Nielsen confirmed that several upgrades will be implemented during practice sessions ahead of sprint qualifying. He stated, “The plan is simple: bring more as and when we can, and hopefully it will be enough to put us in the on-track fight to score as many points as possible.”

Driver Franco Colapinto expressed optimism regarding the team's progress, noting that the current fight for fifth place represents a significant improvement from the previous season when the team finished at the bottom of the standings. Colapinto emphasized the importance of a strong start in Zandvoort to find rhythm and push toward a top-ten finish.
