Alpine to debut electric A110 sports car in 2027

Alpine showcased a prototype of its all‑electric Alpine A110 Future at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, confirming a 2027 market launch. The car will be the first built on the new Alpine Performance Platform (APP) and will feature a split‑battery layout that places 40 % of the pack behind the occupants and 60 % forward for a 40:60 weight distribution.

The two‑motor rear‑axle setup can be complemented by an optional front motor, delivering up to about 220 kW (300 hp). A lightweight aluminium‑composite body aims for a curb weight of roughly 1 450 kg, while an 800‑volt, 70‑kWh battery is expected to give a real‑world range of 400–560 km. Advanced silicon‑carbide inverters and dual in‑wheel motors provide rapid torque vectoring and regenerative braking. Alpine positions the A110 EV as a direct competitor to the Porsche Cayman/Boxster line‑up, with plans for a hardtop, a roadster and a high‑performance all‑wheel‑drive variant.
