Alpine to unveil electric A110 prototype at Goodwood Festival of Speed

French sports‑car maker Alpine is preparing to launch the third‑generation A110 as a fully electric model. A development mule will make its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on 9 July, running the iconic hill‑climb to showcase the new platform.

Alpine says the electric A110 will weigh up to 1,500 kg, feature two rear‑mounted electric motors (with a possible three‑motor 4WD variant) delivering around 500 hp, and use a dual‑battery layout (one behind the driver, one ahead) for a 40/60 front‑rear weight split. The brand targets a 500 km range, 800 V fast‑charging, and a lap time that beats the Porsche 718 on the Nürburgring. Production is slated for early 2027.

The reveal coincides with Alpine’s 70‑year anniversary celebrations, which have also highlighted the brand’s expanding electric lineup, including the upcoming A290 city sports model and the five‑seat A390 fastback. Alpine plans to reach 300 sales points worldwide by the end of 2026, reinforcing its shift from a niche two‑seat sports car to a broader electric‑vehicle portfolio.
