Alpine and Honda unveil electric models at Goodwood Festival 2026
Alpine revealed its A110 Future prototype, a fully electric sports car, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from 9‑12 July 2026. Built on the new Alpine Performance Platform, the car uses an aluminum chassis, two rear‑mounted battery packs with an 800 V cell‑to‑pack architecture, and a dual‑motor rear e‑axle to achieve a 40:60 front‑rear weight balance. Alpine calls it the world’s first true EV sports car and plans to launch production in late 2026 with sales beginning in 2027.
Honda will also feature prominently at the event, debuting the Prelude HRC Concept on the hill‑climb and introducing the compact electric Super‑N city car. The Prelude will be driven publicly by Jessica Hawkins and Tiago Monteiro, while the Super‑N showcases lightweight design and a boost mode for dynamic urban driving. Both manufacturers use the festival to demonstrate how electrification can be combined with high‑performance motoring.
