Alpine unveils electric A110 Future prototype at Goodwood Festival
Alpine presented the A110 Future, a fully electric prototype of its iconic A110 sports car, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from 9 to 12 July. The showpiece marks the brand’s first all‑electric sports car and serves to validate technologies for the future production model.
The car is built on Alpine’s new Performance Platform (APP), an 800‑volt architecture that incorporates dual rear‑mounted electric motors, a battery pack optimized for low centre‑of‑gravity and a 40/60 front‑rear weight distribution. The platform also underpins the A390 crossover and the Renault 5 Turbo 3E, which uses the same system to deliver 555 hp. Brand CEO Philippe Krief noted the challenge of delivering 500‑600 hp in a sub‑1,500‑kg two‑seater.
At the event Alpine displayed historic A110 models alongside the prototype and hosted drivers Pierre Gasly, Franco Colapinto, Nina Gademan, Paul Aron and Alex Dunne for fan engagements and track runs.
