Alpine unveils electric A110 sportscar prototype and outlines six‑model EV strategy

At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Alpine displayed a grey A110 Future prototype, a near‑production preview of the brand’s first fully electric A110 sportscar. The car sits on Alpine’s new 800‑volt performance platform, which also underpins the 555 hp Renault 5 Turbo 3E and promises higher charging power and lighter wiring.

Alpine’s CEO Philippe Krief said the company will expand to a six‑model electric lineup, beginning with the compact A290, the larger A390 crossover‑coupé, and the upcoming A110 as the central model. The plan includes a North‑American launch after 2029, with the fifth and sixth models not arriving before 2030. Krief emphasized that Alpine will stay exclusive, focusing on sportiness and margins rather than mass‑market volume.

The strategy aims to keep the brand’s distinctive driving experience while moving fully into the electric era.
